I guess I'd say it was the down grade but it still didn't connect to seed for a few days after I downgraded. I still cannot determine why I was not able to seed for a few days no matter how long my client was running, no matter what I did with my router, firewall, or vpn. So it seems the symbols are not much of a barometer as Harold stated. About Vpn Deluge Docker Deluge VPN no incoming connections: All everybody needs to. I've now had many ppl connected, been uploading at max throughput and have a yellow triangle a lot of the time. Its easy to set up to SOCKS5 proxy via their client control panel. I give up on the triangle green check symbols. I use win7 so I don't know if it was an issue with that.

I have the automatic port mapping activated on torrent (UPNP). They do not currently have an ETA for release of port forwarding. Im having a trouble of no incoming connections at all. They are working on it as a top priority - or so they say - but the initial ETA for release was Jan 2016, so almost a year ago. Hi, I have set up my Raspberry PI as a headless torrent server, using Deluge. happeningĪpparently my VPN provider, NordVPN, does not currently offer port forwarding, which is necessary to accept incoming connections. Actually non of the peers would be able to do anything as everyone is passive, you will have to wait until an active peer comes in.).

sudo add-apt-repository -u ppa:deluge-team/develop sudo apt install deluge Windows Community¶ Due to move to GTK3 and Python 3 and problems with pyinstaller there are only community created installers available. (If that rare case happens that all the peers are in passive mode, then you won't be able to download/upload anything. sudo add-apt-repository -u ppa:deluge-team/stable sudo apt install deluge The development PPA contains daily builds from the develop branch. If the torrent has few peers then it is likely that with active mode you would get much better speed. But if the torrent is frequent and there are lot of peers your client will likely be able to find enough active peers to max out your connection. That means that you may get less peers and because of that worse speed. my share ratio with the current download is at about 200 wich is wierd considering my line capacities are D/L 190 U/L 35.

anyway download seems to be slow while upload is at full capacity. So if your port is closed that only means you can't connect to other peers with closed ports. im still getting a 'no incoming connection' message allthogh it seems to go away after awhile. A client in active mode can connect to both active and passive clients. So it works like this: A client in passive mode can connect to a client which is in active mode, but not to a client which is in passive mode. In torrent terminology this is called active mode. The pie makes a great low power seedbox and file server in this manner.

I use samba for this as it allows me to connect from Windows 7 via the Windows file manager.
If your port would be open then you would be able to accept connections too. It seems like what psyko really needs is a file server, so he can retrieve his downloaded files. In torrent terminology they say that you are in passive mode.
If the port is closed that only means you can't accept incoming connections, but you can still connect to peers who accept connections. The short answer to the question: YES, you can seed with closed port too.
